Partnerships are essential to our work at Valley Housing Fund. We’re fortunate to have organizations in our community and across Colorado that believe in our mission and invest year after year in creating long-term housing solutions for the people of the Gunnison Valley.
Five organizations recently provided grant support to help us continue our work. Each grant supports a different part of what we do, from affordable housing outreach and resource development to community engagement and the day-to-day work that keeps housing projects moving forward.
Here’s a closer look at these recent grants and the work our partners are helping support.
Support from the Colorado Association of REALTORS® Foundation

This spring, the Colorado Association of REALTORS® Foundation awarded the Valley Housing Fund a grant to support our Community Outreach and Education program.
There’s a lot happening with housing in the Gunnison Valley, and keeping up with every news story or planning decision can be difficult. Our role is to help people make sense of what’s happening and what it means for the future of our community.
This grant will help us expand that work, giving us more opportunities to share clear, useful housing information and connect people with the resources they need. It also gives us more capacity to serve as a central hub for housing education and collaboration.
Thank you to the Colorado Association of REALTORS® Foundation for supporting this important part of our work!
A Direct Effect Award from the Colorado Housing Finance Authority (CHFA)

The Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) awarded the Valley Housing Fund a Direct Effect Grant to provide operational funding to build long-term organizational sustainability, specifically for expenses related to our Partner Support Program and Checkout for Housing Program. This funding helps our organization raise money to fill critical roles in the Gunnison Valley.
Continued Support from Our Local Partners
The Town of Crested Butte, the Town of Mt. Crested Butte, and the Community Foundation of the Gunnison Valley each provided grant support this year.
The Town of Crested Butte’s Community Grant supports community engagement and the continued maintenance of our Housing Help resource center, which connects people with housing information and resources.
A grant from the Town of Mt. Crested Butte and the Community Foundation of the Gunnison Valley supports our general operations, helping sustain the day-to-day work that lets us keep responding to ongoing housing needs.
We’re grateful for these local partners’ continued investment in our work. Their support gives our team the capacity to invest in housing resources and bring more voices into the conversation.
Supporting Housing Work Across the Valley
Together, support from community and statewide organizations helps us play a central role in shaping the future of housing. From helping people understand how affordable housing works to preparing land for new homes, we’re proud to be a reliable advocate for housing in our community.
Thank you to the Colorado Association of REALTORS® Foundation, CHFA, the Town of Crested Butte, the Town of Mt. Crested Butte, and the Community Foundation of the Gunnison Valley for investing in the Valley Housing Fund and the people of the Gunnison Valley!
